Helping people and building relationships in our community are core functions of our Post; we seek positive outcomes along with community leaders, businesses, the media, school faculty, civic groups, and individuals throughout the region.
VFW Post 7234 provides a variety of community services and outreach throughout the year, including:
- Protecting Our Environment - Post 7234 participates in multiple activities throughout the year, including "Clean Up the Beach," Shore Erosion Protection, Osprey Nests, etc.
- Charitable Contributions & Fundraisers - Post 7234 makes charitable donations throughout the year, including education scholarships, food & nutrition assistance, xyz. Specific beneficiaries include the VFW "Sport Clips Help a Hero
- Food & Nutrition Support for the Community
- Participation at Military & Patriotic Events - Ceremonies & Honor Guard support such as Memorial Day, POW-MIA ceremony, July 4th, Veterans Day, Vietnam War Veterans Day, WWII VJ-Day, D-Day, 9/11 Ceremony, Memorial Services, VFW Milestones, etc.
- Health Assistance to Veterans - Medical Equipment & Transportation
- Community Partnership for Veteran Support - Post 7234 participates in several Veteran-support events through the year, including "Operation Seas the Day," U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign (Click here for Fall 2025!).
