Veterans with combat duty, bring your DD214 (or equivalent) to the Mason Dixon Post. Look around and bring your family to enjoy the scenic view of the waters of the Indian River Inlet. Have lunch or dinner or maybe Sunday breakfast in the summer. More importantly, learn about your benefits earned by serving this country. We can especially help you with the new PACT Act as we have trained Service Officers to guide you through the process. Learn about the benefits of comradeship and friendship with those who served this country in Foreign Wars.
 
VFW Post 7234 Membership Offer:
 
  • $200 ($100 from State and $100 from Post) toward life membership applications for new eligible veterans and toward conversion of current annual membership to Life Membership.  Since both the State and Post 7234 are contributing to the $200 discount, we cannot accept credit card payment; please provide check or cash.  Thank you!

Eligibility for VFW Membership 

VFW Post 7234 Membership - Stop by our Mason Dixon Post 7234 to fill out an application, or download it here: VFW-7234 membership application.  Steps to apply (or transfer from another Post):
  1. Submit Completed Application
  2. Provide copy of Discharge, DD-214, or equivalent (awards, medals, etc.) showing combat duty
  3. Pay Lifetime Fee (preferred, based on age, see the form; note $200 incentive offer above) or Annual Fee ($45)
  4. If transferring from another Post, annotate previous Post and submit copy of VFW membership card.

Fellow Comrade; 


I am Chad Myers, Commander of Mason - Dixon VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View, Delaware. Thank you for being a Member of VFW Post 7234. Our records indicate that your Membership will expire soon (or has expired). We are hopeful that you will renew your Membership to once again take advantage of everything our Post offers. Your Honorable Military Service has earned you the right to be a VFW Member. We hope that your expired Membership was just an oversight. We understand that these are busy times. Our theme for my tenure as Post Commander is: SERVE VETERANS, HELP VETERANS and HONOR VETERANS. I believe that you can assist in this effort. 

But first, you have to renew your Membership. As an incentive, for a limited time, if you rejoin as a Lifetime Member, the Post is prepared to offer you $100 toward that Life Membership cost. And that's not all. The Delaware VFW Department will match that $100. That is a grand total of $200 toward the cost of your Lifetime Membership application! That is a fantastic offer that I hope you will take advantage of. Depending on your age, it could represent a significant percentage of the cost. Also, your Membership wouldn't expire, so you will not have to remember to renew it each year. Of course, you are still welcome to renew at the annual rate of $45 per year, if you choose. 

I invite you to visit the Post and complete a VFW Membership Application which is on the wall to the left as you enter through the front door. Alternatively, you can download the application from our Post website at vfw7234.org. Your supporting documentation will need to be attached to your Application, along with the proper lifetime Membership payment (check or cash only; minus the $200!). Once completed you may drop off your application at the Post, or mail it to:

VFW Post 7234 Auxiliary Membership- If you are not eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars but you have a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, sibling, or spouse who would be eligible then you may apply for membership in the VFW Auxiliary.   1. Submit Completed Application
  2. Provide copy of DD-214 or equivalent for Sponsoring person
  3. Pay Annual ($50 first year, $35 per year thereafter) or Lifetime Fee (based on age, see the form.  Add $15 processing fee to Lifetime fee for materials).  Please make checks payable to Auxiliary VFW 7234.
